Let’s find out: Is Neutrogena cruelty free?

Now to the main star of how this post came to be. Neutrogena. Is Neutrogena cruelty free?

Definitely not!

First, Neutrogena is owned by the big J&J- Johnson & Johnson. Yes, that’s right. The company that has originally been known for it’s children and infant products.

This is the BIGGEST tip consumers have to keep in mind when they consider whether or not a skincare, beauty, or product line is cruelty-free. Who is it OWNED by? Do THEY engage in animal testing as well?

Many consumers do not even think of this element.

So, given that J&J is not cruelty free, neither is Neutrogena. They are also not vegan, or a clean brand, as they use animal products in their products.

When asking ourselves is “Neutrogena Cruelty Free,” there are many layers to keep in mind, and one of the main one’s is looking at its parent company.

FINAL THOUGHTS…

Neutrogena Cruelty Free List and other Beauty Companies

First, keep in mind, this is definitely not an exhaustive list, as there are hundreds and hundreds of beauty and skin care brands on the market that are not cruelty free, and this is an important factor to keep in mind when deciding to support companies with your money. (psst…we haven’t even touched on nail polishes and how the majority are NOT non-toxic, or cruelty-free).

Second, make sure to do your own research thoroughly on the environmental claims beauty companies are stating to be involved in. As we have uncovered within this article, partial good deeds, do not erase the inhumane deeds that still continue.

If you are in need of budget-friendly tips at the grocery store, this article can help you find ways to purchase non-toxic products that you can feel good about putting on your skin!

If you find yourself traveling abroad soon, you may want to check out what we uncovered with tourism and the sustainability efforts around the world!
